Coming on a trip with Monthly Roamers? Or thinking about it? Part of the program includes four paid-for activities so that you can spend less time planning your weekends, and more time getting to know fun, like-minded people.
We've got some fun activities planned for our Spain 2019 group. These include:
1) Sailing | June 15
Ready to set sail? We'll be getting on a sailboat and taking a day trip right off the coast of Valencia. Included will be a light meal with refreshments. Bring your camera and your swimming suit! It's going to be one sweet ride.
2) Fogueres de Sant Joan | June 20-24
Every year in June, Spain puts on festival in Alicante, which is an hour south of Valencia. As a group, we will take a day trip to join the festival where we can enjoy live music, excellent food, art, dances, parades, a bonfire of the beach, Spain culture and more. 3) Cooking Class | June 29
Every country has a unique taste. Valencia is known for Paella–a Spanish dish of rice, saffron, chicken, and seafood cooked and served in a large shallow pan. We will be doing a cooking class together to learn how to make Paella!
4) Beach Day | July 4
Just because we won't be in the states doesn't mean we shouldn't celebrate the Forth of July. We're going to celebrate the best way we know how: at the beach. We'll be barbecuing, playing sand volleyball, swimming, and more!
The four activities mentioned above are the Monthly Roamers sponsored activities. Below are a few of the free activities we will be doing as a group:
Sightseeing
While we're in Spain, we'll want to see as much of it as we have time for. We can plan group sight-seeing days. This could include:
• La Lonja de Seda
• Mercado Central
• Catedral de Valencia and Plaza de la Virgen
Game Nights
We love a good laugh. That's why we'll be bringing a few fun games with us. It's also a great way to get to know the group and enjoy a night in.
Beach Days
We will be right by the beach. It's a great time to catch some rays and some waves.
Sunday Church & Potluck
Anyone is welcome to join us for potluck after church. Bring a dish and kick back with us for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
F.H.Eats
Part of the joys of being in another country is the food. Every Monday we will get a group together to find a fun new restaurant to try. Come if you want! It's up to you.
