It's really important to us that every Roamer is able to work in a comfortable space while abroad with us. While that's very important, we also make sure that our Roamers have fun, planned activities every week.
For our Italy 2019 group, here are the actives we have planned:
1- Amalfi Coast | July 13
We'll take a train to the coast of Italy, and then jump on a boat to witness one of the most stunning coastlines that Europe has to offer. If you haven't heard of the Amalfi coast, spend some time looking up images on Google. This is a must see; you won't want to miss it.
2- Italian Cooking Class | July 20
What do you think of when you Italy? We think pasta. We'll be learning how to cook an Italian meal from a local, so you can take a little bit of Italy to your kitchen back home.
3- Walking Tour | July 27
There's a lot to see in Rome. The Colosseum is one of the best. We'll spend an afternoon in one of Italy's most prominent sites. Make sure to bring your selfie stick! You won't want to miss capturing yourself with one of Rome's most iconic historical sites.
4- Florence | August 2
Florence is so close to Rome so we have decided to do our last group activity by jumping on a train to this beautiful city. Some of Italy's most iconic pieces are here, including: The Duomo, a cathedral with a terracotta-tiled dome, Michelangelo’s “David” sculpture, and the birth place of Venus. So many cool things to see. We will take you there for a day. Can't wait!
The four activities mentioned above are the Monthly Roamers sponsored activities. Below are a few of the free activities we will be doing as a group:
Rome Temple
For any that are interest, the Rome temple is only 40 minutes away. We will be putting a group together to go visit while we are in Italy.
Sightseeing
While we're in Italy, we'll want to see as much of it as we have time for. We can plan group sight-seeing days. This could include:
• Trevi Fountain
• The Vatican
• Piazza del Popolo
• The Pantheon
Game Nights
We'll be bringing a few fun games with us. It's also a great way to get to know the group and enjoy a night in.
Sunday Church & Potluck
Anyone is welcome to join us for potluck after church. Bring a dish and kick back with us for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
F.H.Eats
Part of the joys of being in another country is the food. Every Monday we will get a group together to find a fun new restaurant to try. Come if you want! It's up to you.
These are just a few of the fun things we will be doing in Italy.
If you have any suggestions for more activities, please join us on the Monthly Roamers Hub and leave a comment.
